Eat foods with a high ORAC value; ORAC, Oxygen Radical Absorbency Capacity is a measure of the anti-oxidant power of a food.  Our intake of antioxidants should balance the free radicals we generate due to lifestyle environmental assaults; radiation, pollution, toxins, stress, eating junk food, lack of sleep, etc.  Research shows  that consumption of antioxidants help kill cancer and slow the aging process. Spices, unsweetened Cocoa, Coffee, Nuts and Berries all have high ORAC values.  For more info see http://naturalsociety.com/top-5-antioxidant-rich-foods-aging-cancer/.

Eat foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids; salmon, (beware of farm raised), sardines, green vegetables, flax & hemp seeds. Consume cruciferous vegetables; broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage. A daily dose of 2 ounces of dark chocolate, at least 70% cocoa.

Drink lots of clean water.  In addition, drink green tea, pomegranate juice and red wine in moderation.

Strive for at least 7 hours of sleep. Participate in moderate exercise a minimum of 3 times a week. Practice mindfulness and de-stress with yoga, meditation or prayer daily.  And try to “lighten up”, have fun, life is about the experiences.

Remember to Play! ”And he vowed in the future he would strive to keep that sense of play more in mind, for he’d grown convinced that play – more than piety, more than charity, or vigilance — was what allowed human beings to transcend evil”  – Tom Robbins, Jitterbug Perfume
