Unclog the Pipes ~ Lymphatic System

Did you know that your lymphatic system is your body’s sewer system? A congested lymphatic system will weaken your immune system. According to Dr. Gerry Lemole “A healthy lymphatic system can fight off 80% chronic diseases such as Cancer, Heart disease and Arthritis.” The lymphatic system does not have a pump like the blood circulatory system so it requires movement in order to function properly. Rebounding or jumping on a mini-trampoline for a few minutes is one of the best ways to activate your lymphatic system. Or work up a sweat thru exercise or a sauna. Another option is to lie on a slant board, inversion unit or hang upside down. There is a reflex point in the upper body, located at the bottom of the breast bone, or sternum, which helps stimulate lymphatic drainage. Vigorously rub this area for at least two minutes to help the lymphatic drainage. Here are other aids in unlocking the drains; Epsom salt baths, dry brushing, lymphatic massage, deep cleansing breathing & limit intake of processed foods. Staying hydrated is a must in moving toxins through your pipes; remember to drink good clean water often!
