Research shows that eating a wide variety of fruits and
vegetables protects you against cancer, heart disease,
and the effects of aging. Experiment with a variety of
brightly colored fruits and vegetables. Think of the
rainbow when putting together a salad or vegetable
tray.
Do NOT exercise when you are sick especially with fever.
When you are sick your body needs to spend all of its
energy healing itself. You will not derive benefits
from exercising when you are sick and you may even
slow your recovery.
Daily or almost daily aerobic exercise, such as brisk
walking, running or a vigorous bike ride will improve
your memory by stimulating the production of new neurons
in the hippocampus.
